Kicking off the celebrations is the Opening Procession from Pershore Abbey to the Broad Street Christmas tree.
The procession will start on Friday evening, gathering at the Abbey at 5:15 pm. Lanterns will be lit, and at 5:30 pm, the procession will set off through the heart of Pershore.
The lantern-lit procession is a sight to behold, casting a soft glow as it winds through the historic streets. Leading the way are Santa Claus, Pershore Abbey Choir, the Mayor, the Town Crier, and representatives from the youth council. The procession will conclude at Broad Street’s giant Christmas tree just in time for carols around the tree before the big switch-on at 6 pm.
One of the most enchanting moments of the Pershore Georgian Christmas Fayre is the highly anticipated Christmas lights switch-on. This magical event signifies the official start of the festive season, filling the town with a warm, cheerful glow.
This year, the switch-on will take place at 6 pm on Friday, 29th November.
Join the crowd on Broad Street for a countdown from the main stage, led by the Mayor of Pershore.
As the lights twinkle to life, Pershore transforms into a sparkling winter wonderland, welcoming families, friends, and visitors alike.
Once the streets are illuminated, the Christmas Fayre truly comes to life. This event promises to capture the spirit of the season and bring the community together for a joyful celebration.
